Fayetteville, GA – Synergy Coworking Studio has joined forces with Truist Bank to launch a new initiative aimed at improving financial literacy for small businesses in South Metro Atlanta. The “Stress-Free Financial Series” is a six-month program that combines virtual resources, webinars, and in-person workshops to equip entrepreneurs with the tools needed for financial stability and growth.
Co-founders Melissa D. White and Trina Merritt, two Black women leaders and entrepreneurs, founded Synergy Coworking Studio in Fayetteville, GA, with a mission to make essential business resources accessible to communities often overlooked by corporate initiatives. Their latest partnership with Truist Bank underscores a shared commitment to bridging the wealth and funding gaps for Main Street businesses, particularly those located outside Atlanta’s urban core.
The series will feature expert guidance from Vincent H. Cain, Vice President and Financial Inclusion Leader at Truist Bank, and Kendra Bailey, an accountant and founder of Sapphire Financial Services. Cain and Bailey will provide hands-on training and practical advice on topics ranging from budgeting and accessing funding to building long-term wealth and sustainable business practices.
“This program is more than just financial education—it’s about empowerment,” White said. “We’re giving local business owners the knowledge and resources they need to succeed and thrive.”
Truist’s financial inclusion leader Cain emphasized the importance of collaboration in addressing systemic financial barriers.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our communities,” Cain said. “Through this partnership with Synergy, we’re ensuring they have the tools to build a solid financial foundation.”
The Stress-Free Financial Series is designed to be both accessible and actionable. Participants will engage in monthly financial accountability meetings hosted at Synergy Coworking Studio, alongside virtual learning opportunities to accommodate diverse schedules. The program also includes online resources to support continued learning and application.
Founded in 2024, Synergy Coworking Studio serves as a business community hub for entrepreneurs, remote workers, and content creators. The studio offers podcast rooms, event spaces, and tailored programs to support small business development. This latest initiative reflects Synergy’s broader mission to foster economic growth through strategic partnerships with corporations and community organizations.
The partnership with Truist comes as financial literacy remains a critical issue for small businesses, particularly those in historically underserved communities. White and Merritt hope the series will set a precedent for similar initiatives across the region.
